Administration The Administration Department is the facilitator of city council meetings and city employment and administers the city code and city charter. It consists of the offices of the City Administrator and City Clerk and support staff.
Community Development The Community/Economic Development Department is responsible for planning and managing Worthington's physical growth and expansion, generates the city's Comprehensive Plan and administers building inspections, planning and zoning and rental housing inspections.
Engineering The Engineering Department is responsible for the city's proposed improvements and collecting bids for these improvements.
Finance The Finance Department is responsible for managing the city's financials. It performs accounting services, sets the city annual budget, generates the annual report, and administers the city sales tax.
Fire Department Protecting lives and property by providing prompt skillful fire protection and life safety services.
Human Resources The Human Resources Department is responsible for providing excellence in service to our current and prospective employees. Primary areas of focus include: recruitment and retention, employee compensation and benefit programs, maintenance of employee records and payroll processing, organizational development and employee performance management, personnel policy development and administration,
Parks Parks and Recreation, part of the Public Works Department is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and improvements of the city's parks.
Police Department The Public Safety Department consists of the Worthington Police Department and its support staff.
Public Works The Public Works Department includes the Street Department, Park Department and Neighborhood Services Officer.
