Project Objectives
In 2025, new water main, sanitary sewer main, and storm was installed in preparation for the new street. This year, the concrete pavement will be installed with new curb and gutter and driveway.
The lift station is approaching completion as items are being finalized.
The existing lift station on Tower Street was deteriorated with outdated electrical systems and limited access for future upgrades. Contractors are rebuilding the entire lift station system and the building that encloses it.

Paving of 1st Avenue SW and the Puppy Park Parking is complete. Strippers are expected to be in next week to stripe the road.
Proposed Improvement
1st Avenue SW mill and overlay will rehabilitate the pavement from Crailsheim Road to Klnollwood Drive by milling the old pavement and replacing it with new pavement. The project will also include the rehabilitation of the parking lot for the puppy park.
Water main reconstruction is underway. Valves have been installed at tie-in locations. Once the main is installed, which should be in next weeks to stripe the road.
The outdated water main on Clary Street from McMillan Street to 13th Street will be replaced with new water main.
Continuing with street removals. Storm construction should start next Monday, weather permitting.
6th Avenue, from 11th Street to 14th Street, had water main and sanitary sewer main reconstructed in 2025. This year, the storm and pavement in this section will be reconstructed with sidewalk repairs.
Removals are underway, and temporary water is being installed.
The purpose of this project is to reconstruct the outdated sanitary sewer main and water main pipe on 3rd Avenue from 11th Street to 13th Street.
Awarded to Ideal Construction Group
This project will reconstruct the pavement on 10th Avenue, from Tower Street to Whiskey Ditch, and on Tower Street, from 11th Avenue to 10th Avenue. The storm main will also be reconstructed in these sections. Additionally, the existing softball parking lot will be resurfaced with concrete and Tower Street, from Clary Street to 11th Avenue, will be converted into 2 parking lots on the north and south sides of the proposed concessions building.
