Project Update

The Contractor will pave the street from 10th Street intersection to 11th Street intersection with concrete this week. Coloured boulevard will also be paved this week. All concrete work is expected to be completed this week.

Project Objectives

• Full reconstruct of 4th Avenue (from 9th Street to 11th Street).
• Improve street surface conditions.
• Replace deteriorating utility infrastructure.
• Enhance the downtown corridor streetscape.

Proposed Improvements – Reconstruction

• Replace all storm sewer, water and sanitary sewer mains and services.
• Construct a new concrete street.
• Construct concrete sidewalks with colored treatments.
• Pedestrian bump-outs at intersections.
• New ornamental street lighting.

Project Updates

The first lift of bituminous pavement will be done on all affected streets by Tuesday. Once all the castings are adjusted, the second lift of bituminous will be poured

Project Updates

The Contractor is continuing with water services at  14th Street and 6th Avenue intersection and will proceed through 14th Street this week. 6th Avenue intends to be temporarily paved by the end of the week if the weather permits.

Remove and replace the water main, service pipes, and structures; remove and replace the sanitary main and service pipes

Ray Drive North Extension

Project Updates 

Service Road is intended to have curb poured this week. Contractors will also begin storm work on Service Drive this week.

Project Objectives

Improvement of pavement and road accessibility; replacement of outdated underground utilities

Proposed Improvement

Remove and replace existing pavement with concrete pavement; extend both streets to T.H. 60; reconstruct underground public utilities, including storm main, water main and services, and sanitary main and services. Structures will also be replaced.

Service Drive and Service Road.

Project Updates

The Contractor will complete water main work and start storm work this week. 

Objective:

This projects will construct a new street to provide access to upcoming developed lots and future commercial and industrial lots. In addition a pond will be constructed for detention of surface water, where the water quality will be treated. 

Proposed Improvements:

- Construct a new concrete street

- Construct a new water, sanitary and storm system which includes:

   - installation of 10” water main

   - installation of 8” sanitary main and services to upcoming developed lots. 

   - installation of 12” storm and construction of a pond.
