Engineering Department
The Engineering Department serves as the contract manager for municipal facility construction and infrastructure
projects related to new developments and city improvements. We are responsible for planning and overseeing proposed
improvements, as well as managing the bidding process to ensure quality and cost-effective outcomes.
In addition to these responsibilities, the department provides a wide range of professional, technical, and
inspection services aimed at maintaining and enhancing the city’s infrastructure. We also play a key role in the
management of the city’s stormwater systems, working in partnership with the Okabena-Ocheda Watershed District and
the Heron Lake Watershed District to support effective water management.
