Request for Proposals - Zoning Ordinance Update
Request for Proposals: Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map Update
The City of Worthington is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms for professional services
to update the City’s zoning ordinance and zoning map. The project includes a complete review of the
current zoning requirements, the City’s zoning map, sign regulations, subdivisions, and other related
sections of the current City Code of Ordinances (City Code Chapters 99, 151, 153, 154, and 155).
The City seeks to align the new ordinance with the recently adopted 2045 Comprehensive Plan, create an
ordinance that is more development friendly, easy to navigate, and addresses the many shortfalls of the
current code of ordinances. The City’s current zoning ordinance contains much of the same language from
1969 or earlier, underwent some significant changes in the early 2000s, and has only received minor line-by-line
changes since that time.
Responses are due no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20.
