½ Percent Local Sales Tax

The City of Worthington enacted a Legislature approved one-half percent local option sales tax on January 1, 2020 for the purpose of adding to, or improving, quality of life amenities. This tax shall remain in place for 15 years or until $25 million has been received, whichever occurs first. Local use taxes on purchases of goods and services made outside the Worthington political subdivision that are used in the political subdivision, are subject to local use taxes.
